        AUDITION NOTICE: THE STRANGER TO KINDNESS (PLANET CONNECTIONS THEATRE FESTIVITY) 02/22/2011

        1st Rehearsal: 5/3/11; runs: 6 performances between 6/1/2011 - 6/26/2011 at the Robert Moss Theater part of Planet Connections Theatre Festivity.

        Synopsis:
        When officer Greco is sent to check on a senior citizen, he finds her neighbor camped out in front of the apartment awaiting the woman’s estranged son. What should have been a simple assignment evolves into a test of compassion in this evocative tale by award-winning playwright David Stallings.

        The Stranger to Kindness will run alongside Curious Frog Theatre Company's production of Rope of Sands by Toni Seger.

        Planet Connections Theatre Festivity is New York's premiere eco-friendly theatre festival. Fostering a diverse cross-section of performances, the festival seeks to inspire artists and audiences both creatively and fundamentally, in a festive atmosphere. At the heart of the festivity are like-minded individuals striving to create professional, meaningful theatre, while supporting organizations, which give back to the community at large.

        Seeking:

        Lena Tripp:
        Caucasian. Late 60s-70s. Lived on the Upper West Side of Manhattan most of her life, vulnerable, blunt, aggressive, no nonsense personality.

        Paul Valenti:
        Early to late 40s. Estranged son of the non-responsive senior citizen, sincere and genuine.

        Rehearsals will be evening weekdays and day weekends.

        Appointment only auditions will be held on Tuesday, March 1st, 6pm to 9pm, at Ripley Grier Studios, 520 8th Ave, Manhattan.

        Callbacks will be the same evening from 9pm-10pm (you might be asked to stay or come back at that time).
